We are located in the picturesque Adelaide Hills situated on 5 acres of land. St Catherine’s caters for students from Reception to Year 6, runs a 4 year old Transition program and has a playgroup. St Matthew’s Bridgewater is in close proximity and our community of faith is inspired by the Dominican tradition.
At St Catherine’s School we build and maintain collaborative, respectful relationships where we can take risks so we can reach our potential. We nurture and uphold the dignity of one another and always strive to uphold our values of Respect, Commitment, Sustainability, Honesty and Compassion.
Our children are participants in the 21st Century and need to understand themselves as learners, learn to work collaboratively, engage in new technologies, learn how to access new skills and knowledge and develop skills of thinking creatively, laterally and critically. The school’s beliefs about learning, pedagogical practice, organisational structures and the physical environment reflect these core principles.
Our teachers and support staff are highly motivated and dedicated professionals who provide a rich learning environment for their students. We are proud of our Dominican history and traditions and are inspired by the future possibilities that await every student at St Catherine's School.
As well as a strong academic focus, the school has a particular focus on wellbeing and supporting the needs of students and families within our community. Our active Parent and Friends group works to build community through social events and supports learning through positive parent-teacher partnerships.
I look forward to meeting with you to further discuss your child’s education at St Catherine’s.
